Sample day -
Each age group will be split into three groups –
Rabbits – 6 to 7 year olds
Squirrels – 8 to 9 year olds
Owls – 10 to 11 year olds
09:00 AM - Free Time
While everyone is arriving the children can familiarise themselves with the space.
09:15 AM - Register
09:30 AM - Circle games and Ice breakers
Ice breakers and circle games are an amazing way to encourage team work and give us the opportunity to get to know one another, this is a lovely way to start the morning and any first nerves will have disappeared by this point!
10:00AM - Arts & Crafts Activity
10:30AM - Break time – children need to bring a snack and drink
11:00AM - Yoga lesson
We are very lucky to have visiting staff come in each week to run mini workshops. This week we have a wonderful yoga teacher coming in. Previously we have had visits from an architect, artist, librarian, author, chef, and pilates and mindfulness teachers.
11:30AM - Animal rice cake cooking
This is a wonderful way for everyone to enjoy a group cooking session, developing fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Anything made is taken home, not eaten at Tails & Beau.
12:15PM - Lunchtime and Playtime
01:00PM - Parachute Games
Using the parachute for games is an excellent way to work as a team and improve coordination, it is also lots of fun!
01:15PM - Sporting Activity
Our sporting activities range from obstacle course creating, dance, ball skills, football, yoga and more.
02:00PM - Friendship bracelets
We will incorporate activities throughout the week which allow us to focus on mindfulness, usually during the creative sessions. Mindfulness awareness exercises are key in helping children develop concentration and self awareness.
03:00PM - End of day
